Car Parking/Drop Off
There are limited parking opportunities close to the Police Station due to its location in the City of London. It is possible to drop off in Wood Street directly outside of the building and parking may be made available strictly by prior arrangement. A single parking space in the underground car park can be made available for disabled users again on an appointment only basis.
Transport
There are several public transport points close by. Buses stop along London Wall to within approx 250 metres of the Police Station. The closest London Underground station is St Pauls on the Central line however a number of alternatives are within a half mile radius.
Access into main building
There is a single public entrance into the Police Station located on Wood Street. The entrance has both a ramped and alternative stepped approach to the main doors. An outer set of double doors leading through a small lobby area and a further wide single door lead directly to the reception desk. The ramped approach to the building is 6 metres in length on a 1 : 10 gradient with a single handrail.
Reception
The reception area is directly ahead at the main entrance. The reception desk is 1.07m in height. An induction loop is provided for hearing impaired customers. Seating is provided in the reception area. The seating is bench style at a fixed height.
Facilities
The Police Station is open to the public between the hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm daily. An accessible toilet can be provided for users of the Police Station only.
Access to all areas
General members of the public can access the main reception area which is on the ground floor of the building. Internal lifts connect other floors within the Police Station however these are primarily areas that would not be accessible to the public.
