Internal Doors
There is a single door. Automatic powered. Opens out.
The effective clear width of the door is at a minimum of 800mm.
The opening width of the door is 1060mm.
The threshold is level.
The doors and side panels have vision panels.
The door handles are easy to grip and operate.
The handles are within reach of all users.
The doors are automatic.
The automatic doors remain open long enough for a slow-moving person to pass through.

Counter
There is a lowered counter section provided.
The lowered counter section is at a maximum height of 760mm.
The height of the counter is 730mm.
The counter has a knee recess.
There is sufficient space in front of the counter for wheelchair users.
There is sufficient space to write or sign documents on the counter.
There is adequate lighting to both sides of the counter and the lighting avoids silhouetting.
There is an induction loop with a speech enhancement system provided.

Blood Sciences Specimen Reception
There is not a lowered counter section provided.
Some visitors may find the desk too high. The height of the desk at its lowest point is 1110mm. Staff will offer assistance if required.
There is sufficient space in front of the counter for wheelchair users.
There is adequate lighting to both sides of the counter and the lighting avoids silhouetting.
There is an induction loop with a speech enhancement system provided.

Intercom
The intercom would not be able to be used independently by a wheelchair user due to its height.
There is no induction loop available.

Seating
The seats that are provided are stable.
The seating has armrests.
Some customers may not find the seating suitable as the seats are all at the same height.
There is space for a wheelchair user to pull up alongside a seated companion.

General Area
The clear widths are adequate.
There is a sufficient turning circle at either end of the corridor.

Ramp
Some visitors may find the ramp difficult to navigate.
There are handrails.
The handrail is in good order.
Some users may have difficulty as the handrails do not meet the required specification.
