The beauty room is quite small however staff in the past have moved the bed into the swimming pool area where there is more space if required.

Entrance to Beauty Room
There is level access to the entrance.
There is a single door. Opens in.
The door opening is wide enough for all users.
There is adequate space available alongside the leading edge for a wheelchair user to open the door while clear of door swing.
The threshold is level.
The door handles are easy to grip and operate.
The handles are within reach of all users.
The door pressure is kept to a minimum on manually operated doors fitted with self-closing devices.

General Area
The clear widths are adequate.
There is adequate lighting.

Surfaces
The floor surface is suitable for the passage of wheelchair users.
The junctions between floor surfaces are correctly detailed and free from height variation.
The floor surfaces are slip resistant.

Signage
The signs are in a logical position.
There are tactile signs where appropriate and the signs are positioned at a suitable height.

Acoustics
The background noise is kept to a minimum level.

Lighting
The level of lighting is sufficient for the intended use.
