Accommodation
There are four accessible bedrooms which are all located on the first floor close to the lifts. All of the bedrooms are interconnecting and have accessible ensuites with a bath. Both smoking and non smoking rooms are available.
Car Parking/Drop Off
There is a small covered car park located at the front of the hotel with fifteen spaces which are on a first come basis. The drop off point is also located to the front of the hotel and is again covered. There are steps or a ramp to the hotel entrance, both of which are close to the drop off point and car parking spaces.
Public Transport
A number 63 bus stops further along from the hotel on Kings Cross Road. This is approximately a 3 - 5 minute walk from the hotel. The route is on level access and encounters one crossing point. Care should be taken when crossing as there is no designated pedestrian crossing point.
Access into Hotel
The Hotel is approached via Kings Cross Road. There is a covered area in front of the hotel where both the drop off point and car park is located. There are steps or a ramp leading up to the entrance which consists of a revolving door with a single pass door located to each side. The entrance leads directly into the reception lobby.
Circulation
There is step free access to all areas within the hotel and all floors can be accessed by lift. There is good lighting and a good level of visual contrast throughout. All areas are identified by signage. Supplementary directional signage is positioned in strategic locations throughout. The majority of the main public areas are open plan with the exception of the lower ground floor where the meeting rooms and heath club are located.
Reception
There is a large reception counter which is the main feature of the hotel lobby. The counter is not accessible and therefore staff will offer assistance on the customer's side of the counter or at a nearby desk. The Concierge is located next to reception and again staff are on hand to offer assistance as the counter is not of an accessible height.
Bars
Charings Bar is located next to the reception and on level access from the reception lobby. The bar operates a full table service. The bar is well lit and has a good sized seating area.
Restaurants
There are two restaurants at the hotel both of which are accessible from the reception lobby via a carpeted ramp. Carriage's restaurant is the larger of the two and is located at the top of the ramp. Rasa restaurant can be located by passing through Carriage's and across a small lobby. Rasa restaurant is used to serve breakfast. Both restaurant are bright and spacious and afford a good level of circulation. There is a full table service in operation and a range of tables and seating including high chairs.
Health Club
Inspirations Heath Club is located on the lower ground floor and can be accessed by lift from the hotel lobby. There are steps down from the health club to reception but there is also a single lift providing level access from the lower ground floor. The lift is located to the side up the health club entrance and visible on approach. Both male and female changing rooms are accessible however there are no changing cubicles or an accessible shower. The is level access from the changing rooms to the poolside and there are shallow steps leading into the pool which have handrails. At poolside there is a steam room and sauna which have a raised threshold and a jacuzzi on a raised area with steps. The health club has a beauty salon and sunbed on level access and a gymnasium which is not on level access.
Business Facilities
There are six meeting rooms on the lower ground floor with three interconnecting providing flexible conferencing accommodation for up to 200 delegates. There is a business centre located within this area which has a member of staff on duty during business hours. Induction facilities are available and a range of other communication services can be booked in advance. The lower ground floor has a large open plan feel and there are toilets available including a unisex accessible toilet which is also fitted will a baby change. The lower ground can be accessed via the lifts in the reception lobby.
Staff: Languages spoken
The hotel has a good compliment of staff with a good level of awareness on the facilities offered. Staff assistance is available throughout the hotel and there is a range of languages spoken including: English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. It is advisable to check with the hotel in advance should a particular language be required.
