Accommodation

The hotel car park is located under the hotel in the basement. It has two accessible parking bays. From the car park you take a lift to the main reception. The lift lobby is located next to the accessible parking bays. From the parking bays there is a designated pathway leading to the lift area.

There are two bus stops directly out side of the hotel entrance. Both of these routes are accessible.

Access into Hotel

The main entrance of the hotel is on Commerce Road. The main entrance doors are double automatic sliding doors. The entrance area is level access.

Circulation

General circulation at the hotel is good, offering plenty of room to move around. Internal doors at the hotel all incorporate vision panels and were all wide enough for wheelchair users to pass through.

Reception

The reception area is right in front of the main entrance doors. The reception desk also has an accessible counter. There is seating available in the reception area. The concierge desk is located to the left of the main entrance doors, the desk is at a suitable height for seated and standing guests. The main reception also has an induction loop with signage to highlight this. The lighting in the reception is suitable for its intended use.

Bars

There is one bar at the hotel called the Island bar. This is a quiet bar that has an open plan entrance. The bar is quiet offering bar snacks that are served at the table. The route to the bar from reception is a short distance and is level access. There is also a wide range of seating available to guests at a range of heights.

Restaurants

There is one restaurant at the hotel called the Island restaurant. This is a quiet restaurant offering a buffet, table service. The route to the restaurant from reception is level access. The entrance doors for the restaurant are double, sliding doors that are wide enough for wheel chair users. There is also a wide range of seating available. The tables are at a suitable height for wheelchair uses to sit at comfortable.

Health Club

The hotel has a mini gym that is located on the first floor. The most accessible route to this is by the lift and is a fair distance from the lift on the first floor. The facilities at the gym are running machines and cross trainers.

Business Facilities

The hotel has very good business facilities. This is called the Academy. The Academy has a number of conference rooms which are all located within the Academy itself. The Academy is located on the ground floor and is a short accessible distance from the main reception. The entrance to the Academy is through a set of double doors that are always left open. The doors have vision panels and one door wide enough for wheelchair users.

Staff at the hotel will assist guest by helping with checking in and out, reading menus, helping with payments, and assisting guests in any way.
