Accommodation

There are nineteen accessible bedrooms, all have an interconnecting room, with the exception of one. The accessible rooms have an ensuite shower room. Assistance may be required accessing the bedroom and ensuite as there is a raised threshold on the bedroom and bathroom door.

Car Parking/Drop Off

There is no car park at the hotel. There is a car park nearby which is independently operated. The drop off is on Commercial Street outside of the hotel entrance. This is however on a Red Route so no stopping is permitted between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

Public Transport

There is a bus stop immediately outside of the hotel on Commercial Road. This is a temporary location as there are works in progress where the stop is normally located. This is a short distance from the hotel entrance. The Aldgate East tube station is a short distance from the hotel at approximately a 5 minute walk. There is level access from both the bus stop and tube station to the hotel.

Access into Hotel

The hotel entrance is located on Commercial Street. There is level access to the hotel from the street. The entrance doors are automatic and open into a spacious reception lobby with the reception counter facing the entrance.

Circulation

There is a good level of circulation around the hotel with all areas being open plan and leading from the hotel lobby. There are three lifts providing level access to the accommodation floors. The hotel is a bright and spacious environment.

Reception

On entering the hotel the reception is located on the left within the hotel lobby. The reception counter suits all users with a low level counter being closest to the entrance. The reception lobby is a bright and spacious area with seating and an internet workstation available close by. The reception counter is fitted with an induction loop and there is also a courtesy wheelchair available.

Bars

Le'Bar is accessible from the hotel lobby and also from street level on Commercial Street via the restaurant entrance which has a revolving door. There is level access into and around the bar with a good level of circulation throughout. The bar is very impressive in that a section and the counter can be lowered to an accessible height. Staff assistance and table service is available. The bar has an induction loop and a portable chip and pin machine. There is a range of seating and tables available to suit all users including the availability of a highchairs.

Restaurants

L' Estaminet restaurant can be accessed from the hotel lobby and also from street level through a revolving door. The restaurant operates on an assisted self service basis during breakfast and a table service for lunch and dinner. The self service counter is of an accessible height and there are pull out shelves along the counter to rest trays on. There is a range of seating and tables to suit all users including the availability of highchairs. An induction loop and portable chip and pin machine is available.

The hotel has a good compliment of staff who are on hand to offer assistance. The staff have a good awareness of accessibility and the services and facilities on offer.
