Access in Summary
Public Transport
There are two Bus Stops within approximately 450 metres of the Ibis London East Barking Hotel. Bus Stop Z on London Road and Bus Stop R on Barking Road. Buses stopping at the bus stops run frequently towards Beckton and East Ham.
Car Parking/Drop Off
There are approximately five accessible parking bays located directly outside the Entrance to the Hotel. Visitors could also be dropped off in taxis and cars within this area.
Access into Entrance
The Entrance to the Ibis London East Barking is via a level approach and then a slight lip over the threshold of the door. Entry to the Hotel is via double, automatic, sliding doors with vision markings, which lead into the Main Reception Lobby.
Reception
The Reception Desk is located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel and is available 24/7. The Desk is free from clutter and offers a lowered accessible section for wheelchair users. Hotel Staff can communicate in the following languages: French, Lithuanian , Russian, Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Italian, Nigerian, Polish and Estonian.
Bar and Restaurant
The Hotel Bar and Restaurant is located within the Reception Lobby offering a Breakfast and Dinner service 7 days a week. It also offers Table Service and Self Service. Staff are happy to read the menu to guests if needed and will also carry food from the self service area to the guests table.
Accommodation
There are four Accessible Bedrooms at the Hotel which are all close to Reception and/or the Passenger Lifts. They have interconnecting rooms, good circulation, an accessible shower with grab rails, tip up seat and all amenities and controls are in easy reach.
Access To All Areas
The Passenger Lift is located within the Reception Lobby and offers access to all Upper Floors. The lift car dimensions are 1060mm x 1380mm. Some visitors may find the lift controls are too high, they are at a height of 118cm and the control buttons are also in Braille. Once inside the lift car there is a handrail available. There are also stairs located just off the Reception Lobby offering additional access to all Upper Floors.
Facilities
The Accessible Toilet is located on the Ground Floor just off the Reception Lobby with a grab rail and plenty of space to manoeuvre. An assistance alarm is present.
