Accommodation
The hotel has three accessible rooms available. All have an en-suite bathroom with an accessible shower facility.
Car Parking/Drop Off
The hotel has an underground car park with one accessible space. It is necessary to contact the porters desk if use of the lift is needed to gain access into the hotel. There is a small courtyard with a drop off area immediately outside the hotel entrance.
Public Transport
Russell Square Underground station is located nearby and there are bus stops also located close to the entrance. The station itself is not accessible but the route to the hotel from all of these is.
Access into Hotel
The hotel is located on Russell Square via a level tarmac road. There are double doors at the entrance that open both ways. The entrance area has a kerb prior to the doors and a portable ramp is available from within the hotel. A level access route is available by using the pavement leading in from the outside of the hotel.
Circulation
The general circulation around the hotel is good There are lifts that provide access to all floors and the corridor widths are adequate. Doors are suitable for all uses and the general lighting level is sufficient.
Reception
The reception desk is located just inside the entrance doors and the counter has one level. There is a seating area provided and the area is well lit. Also within the lobby area there is a cashier and porters desk.
Bars
The Night and Day pub bar is a quiet area that has two entrances. The entrance from within the hotel is stepped however there is an external entrance that provides level access. There is good amount of seating and the level of lighting is sufficient. Within the bar there are additional seating areas that are stepped. The hotel has an additional bar located on the first floor close to the lifts. The entrance is open plan and there is a small seating area provided. The Atrium coffee bar is located on the ground floor and is shared with the President hotel which is adjacent to the Imperial hotel. There are entrances from both hotels and a large seating area is provided. There are steps leading down to a lower seating area.
Restaurants
The Elizabethan restaurant is located on the first floor and is adjacent to the lift access points. The entrance has double doors that open both ways. Within the restaurant there is plenty a seating and the lighting level is sufficient.
Business Facilities
The hotel has conference facilities located on the first floor. Access can be gained via the lifts and all rooms are accessible.
Staff: Languages spoken
Staff are friendly, helpful and on hand to offer assistance wherever possible. There are a number of different languages spoken throughout the hotels staff.
