Accommodation

There are six accessible bedrooms located over five floors. One room is smoking and five are non smoking. All rooms are accessible by lift. In each of the bedrooms there is an accessible ensuite with a bath.

Car Parking/Drop Off

There is no designated parking at the hotel, only on street permit and meter payment parking. It is possible to drop off outside the hotel either onto the pavement if space or onto the carriageway. In such cases assistance onto the pavement will be required as there is no dropped kerb. The pavement runs directly in front of the hotel.

Public Transport

London Bridge Train, Bus and Tube Station are located nearby at the end of London Bridge Street. There is a level route from the stations to the hotel via a pavement. There is a gentle downward gradient on London Bridge Street to the hotel.

Access into Hotel

There is a small ridge on the entrance which a wheelchair user would require assistance with to negotiate. The hotel concierge desk is manned 24 hours a day and is positioned close to and within direct view of the entrance should assistance be required. There are two doors at the entrance, the outer wooden doors are held open and there is a glass inner door which is automatic.

Circulation

There is generally a good level of circulation within the hotel with all floors accessible by lift. Wheelchair users may require assistance accessing the Londinium restaurant and some of the conference rooms as there are ridged thresholds. The hotel is bright and spacious and offers a good level of circulation.

Reception

The reception desk is located to the rear of small reception lobby. The desk may not be immediately obvious upon arrival as there are large pillars within the lobby which partially obscure the view of the desk. Concierge is immediately obvious as this is directly in front of the entrance upon entry. The lobby is modern and well lit and there is a good level of circulation. There is a good range of seating within reception along with low level tables and also two writing desks. Both reception and concierge counters are not at a suitable height for a wheelchair user however there are desks within the lobby which are of an accessible height. There is a portable induction loop available which can be used at either reception or concierge.

Bars

There are two bars at the hotel. Georgetown Bar and Restaurant can be accessed from within the hotel lobby. This entrance is on level access. There is also a stepped entrance from the street. Borough Bar can only be accessed from the street and is located next door to the hotel. The entrance is step free. Table service is offered in both bars and there is a range of seating and tables for all users.

Restaurants

The are two restaurants, Georgetown which is located on the ground floor and on level access from the hotel lobby, and Londinium which is located on the lower ground floor, accessible by lifts or stairs. The Londinium restaurant is used to serve breakfast. This is on a self service basis from an accessible servery counter. Alternatively staff assistance is available. Both restaurants are well lit and offer a good level of circulation. There are tables and chairs to suit all users including a high chair facility. A portable induction loop which is shared with other departments is available upon request.

Health Club

Guests staying at the hotel have complimentary use of the Fitness First Health Club which is located next to the Borough Bar. Guests requiring a particular service or facility should check with the heath club in advance to ensure availability.

Business Facilities

There are five meeting rooms on the lower ground floor which can all be accessed by the lifts. There are two rooms which can be linked as one larger room. There are also meeting rooms located at basement level and again accessible by lift. There are fixed induction loops in some of the conference rooms and a portable induction loop for rooms without a fixed installation.

The hotel have a good complement of staff who are on hand to offer assistance 24 hours. Assistance is also available via the concierge. There are a number of languages spoken at the hotel although it is advisable to check in advance should a particular language be required.
