Access into Hotel
The hotel is located off Fulham Road and there is a central courtyard area surrounding the hotel entrances. The Millennium hotel has a double set of doors that open outwards automatically on approach. The Copthorne has a double set of manual doors one opens in and the other opens out.
The circulation around both of the hotels is good. There is lift access to all levels in both hotels and the corridor widths are adequate. The doors are suitable for a wide range of users and the lighting is sufficient.
The reception desk for the Copthorne is located on the first floor and can be accessed via the lifts or the escalators. It has one height of 1.1 metres and is well lit. There is seating close by in the 55 bar and lounge. There is a concierge desk on the ground floor just once inside the entrance where staff are able to help with any enquiries or baggage.
The Millennium reception desk is located on the ground floor just inside the entrance doors. The desk is at a low level and there is a seating area in the lobby.
The 55 Bar & Lounge is located on the first floor next to the reception desk. It is a quiet area which offers table service. The entrance is open plan and the route from reception is level. There is a variety of seating and the area is well lit.
The Blues Bar is on the ground floor and has two entrances. It is possible to enter from within the hotel via a double set of doors or from the courtyard via a double set of automatic doors. The bar is lively and table service can be provided. There are additional seating areas that have steps leading to them.
The 55 Restaurant is on the first floor and can be accessed via the bar and lounge and the route from the reception desk is level. Entry is gained via a double set of doors that open in. There is a variety of seating and the lighting level is sufficient.
The Copthorne Hotel has meeting rooms located on the first floor only a short distance from the reception desk. They are all accessible and the route from reception is level. There is also the Copthorne Lounge which can also be used for meetings and events.
