Accessible WC
There is an accessible WC facility.
The door width is adequate.
There is sufficient space available outside of the toilet compartment to manoeuvre and open the door.
The compartment measures less than 1.5m by 2.2m. This may not be large enough to allow some wheelchair users to manoeuvre into position for frontal, lateral, angled and backward transfer.
Side transfer area measured at 660mm.
Some customers may find the door pressures too heavy. The hotel is aware of this and is reviewing the pressures. Should you require assistance please speak to a member of staff.
The hand-washing, drying facilities and toilet paper are within easy reach of someone seated on WC.
The taps and flushes are accessible and easy to use.
The water temperatures are limited, and are at a safe temperature.
The overall provision and positioning of sanitaryware and accessories is suitable.
There are grab rails which are positioned correctly.
The door controls, lock and light switch are easy to reach and operate.
The assistance alarm provided, is complete with cord to the floor, reset button and visual and audible alarm.
There are slip-resistant floors throughout.
Surfaces and fixtures provide effective visual contrast.
