Transport
There is a bus stop located outside the Main Entrance. A second bus stop is located outside the hospital grounds near the North Entrance.
Car Park and Drop Off
The Main Car Park has 8 accessible bays directly outside the Entrance whilst the West Wing Car Park has 3 accessible bays. There are drop off zones outside both the Main Entrance and the West Entrance.
The North Wing Car Park has 10 accessible bays and a drop off zone directly outside the Entrance. There is a pedestrian walkway linking different areas of the car park.
Access at Entrance
The Main Entrance has two sets of double doors with step free access. The doors to the left are manual whilst the doors to the right are automatic, sliding doors. The Entrance to the Department of Pathology has a set of double, manually powered doors. There is a ramp leading to the South Entrance, North Entrance and the Department of Pathology Entrance. The doors at the North and South Entrances are automatic.
Reception
The reception is located inside the Main Entrance. There is good circulation within the reception area with seating available. The male, female and accessible toilets are also located in this area along with a telephone.
Facilities
The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is available via the Main Reception desk. There is a portable induction loop service available here along with other information and assistance. If a patient wishes to see someone from PALS the reception staff will ring the team and ask for someone to come and see the patient.
Access to all areas
Access between the North Wing and South Wing can only be made via the Link Corridor, which has good circulation, lighting and signage.
