The hotel has six accessible bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom facilities. The bathrooms have showers within the bath enclosure with appropriate grab rails although there are no hoists. Transfer seats are provided in all accessible rooms.

Car Parking/Drop Off

The hotel has an arrangement with the attached Britannia multi storey car park which provides parking and drop off at the reception entrance level of the building. Hotel parking is found on level 9 of the car park. There is a short level walk from the car parking to the Hotel Entrance There are no accessible parking spaces on level 9 of the Car Park. The nearest accessible spaces on level 2 with no lift access within the car park.

Public Transport

The hotel is served by bus stops on Clements Road to within 150m of the hotel entrance. The mainline railway station is a 400m walk away. All public transport points to the hotel have step free routes.

Access into Hotel

The hotel has two entrance points. The pedestrian entrance on Clements Road has lift access to the reception area. A second entrance gives direct access from the attached multi storey car park. Both entrances have level approaches with wide double entry doors.

Circulation

Circulation around the hotel is generally good. Clear widths are adequate and doors all have vision panels.

Reception

The reception area has an area of seating with snack vending machines. The reception desk is well lit and circulation is good.

Bars

The hotel offers sleeping accommodation only. There are no dining, conferencing or bar facilities. Packed lunch type breakfasts can be collected from reception or delivered to bedrooms.

Staff: Languages spoken

The receptionist at the time of assessment was very helpful. A variety of languages are spoken by hotel staff although these are not all known. The only customer facing role in the hotel is that of the receptionist. The receptionist indicates that the hotel is happy to provide assistance to its disabled guests when requested. Hotel staff are responsible for evacuating disabled customers to designated refuge points in the event of emergency evacuation.
