Station
Manchester Victoria is an old station that has done well to make every platform accessible for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments, parents with pushchairs and people with large luggage.
Platforms
Platforms 1, 2 and 3 are on level access from the main concourse. Platforms 4 to 6 are accessed via 3 bridges that cross the railway lines. The middle bridge has lifts which take passengers to and from these platforms.
Ticket Office
Due to the historic and listed status of the station the ticket office remains as originally built. It is therefore not suitable for all passengers. The original counters are high and there are rails very close to the counter. It does provide induction loops and chip and pin machines.
For customers who are unable to use this counter there are 2 ticket machines opposite. Passengers who are unsure or unable to use these services or those who require assistance with their journey should contact the station in advance of travelling on:
Telephone: 0845 6008008
- Textphone: 0845 6045608
- Email: assistance@northernrail.org
- General reservations: 0845 7000125
- Ticket collection from ticket office between the hours of: 06:30 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 08:00 22:15 Sunday.
Arriving and Departing the Station
The station has 5 main entrances all offering step free access. There is a taxi rank on station approach and drop off point where there are 3 entrances taking passengers straight into the main concourse. There is an NCP Car Park in the MEN Centre with accessible spaces and level access to the Middle bridge over the platforms with lift access down to platforms and Ticket Office.
Victoria Tram Station is next to the main concourse and can be accessed via a ramp or 3 steps. Passengers have to cross over the tram lines at the crossing point.
Facilities
There are Male and Female toilets in the main concourse near WH Smiths
