Public Transport

Buses serving local routes stop to within 250 metres along the Bath Road. The Bus Service in the immediate area is free. A Hopper Bus connects local Hotels with the airport, however a fee is charged.

Car Parking/Drop Off

The Hotel benefits from a large Car Park which extends to all four sides of the building. Accessible parking spaces are made available close to the front Entrance. The Hotel Concierge will provide valet parking on request. There is also a large covered Drop Off area located directly outside the Main Hotel Entrance.

Access into Entrance

There is direct access into the Hotel from the rear Car Park, via the North Entrance.

Access into the Main Hotel Entrance is via a central revolving door. A button at accessible height allows users to slow the automatic door revolution. A pass door is also available and is located approximately 10 metres to the right of the revolving door. The pass door is a double manual door which opens both inwards and outwards.


The Hotel has 2 accessible bedrooms located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel. There is an accessible suite located on the fourth floor, which is easily accessed by the lift. All rooms have en suite bathroom facilities. The accessible suite has both a bath and shower facility. The standard accessible rooms provide a shower facility. All rooms include an assistance alarm within the bathrooms, along with wide access doors. The desks, TV with teletext controls and other fixtures are generally at an accessible height.

Access To All Areas

There are passenger lifts available which offer access to all floors in the Hotel. Stairs can be used as an alternative to the passenger lifts providing access to all floors. Corridors around the Hotel are generally wide and offer good circulation. Internal doors are held open on automatic fire closing devices.


The Main Reception Desk is situated immediately to the left of the Main Hotel Entrance on the Ground Floor. Languages spoken by staff at the Hotel include Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Portuguese French, Afrikaans, Zulu, Polish, German and Arabic.

The Customer Service Desk is located to the right of the Reception Lobby on the Ground Floor. Reception services are offered at an accessible height at the Customer Service Desk.


The Drawing Room is located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel, however it is accessed up 2 steps. A portable ramp can be provided to access the room on request. The Drawing Room offers a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. The Polo Lounge Bar is the main Hotel Bar and is also located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel. The Polo Lounge Bar is open from early evening until late.


The Henley Restaurant is the Hotel's fine dining room. The Restaurant closes for its annual major overhaul which takes place during August of each year. Henleys Restaurant is located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel and is accessed through the Drawing Room by steps. A portable ramp can be provided on request.

The Brassiere is the main Hotel Restaurant and is located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel. A buffet Breakfast and Lunch is served in The Brasserie and evening meals with a la carte table service. A range of mainly traditional British Fare is served.

Health Club

The Health Club is located on the Ground Floor and is accessed via steps. A portable ramp can be provided on request. A range of beauty and therapy treatments are available along with a plunge pool, relaxation area, steam and sauna rooms. Changing and showering facilities are on level access, however none have been specifically adapted for accessible use. The Gymnasium forms part of the Health Spa complex. The Gym is on a split level and access to the Aerobics Studio can only be achieved by stairs.

Business Facilities

There is an Internet Lounge located on the Ground Floor which is accessed from the Reception Lobby.

The Hotel Business Centre is located on the third floor of the Hotel and is accessed by the lift. The Business Centre offers access to computers and associated administrative support.

The Hotel has 40 function rooms ranging from smaller syndicate rooms up to large banqueting facilities for several hundred people. Meeting rooms are located mainly on the first 3 floors of the Hotel and all can be accused by lift. Seating plans and room layout can be tailored to meet individual requirements.


The Hotel Concierge is located in the Reception Lobby and staff are on hand to assist with baggage, parking, transport and entertainment arrangements. There is a cash machine available in the Reception Lobby near the Customer Service Desk. There are also vending machines dispensing a range of snacks and ice machines available in lift lobbies. There is a Gift and Souvenir Shop located on the Ground Floor. The Hotel also has a Jewellers Concession on the Ground Floor.

There is an Accessible WC located on the Ground Floor of the Hotel. The Accessible WC has two cubicles offering both left and right hand transfer.
